Losing and Regaining Our CENTER... (Again and Again)

Deep conversation with Ryan Burkholder on not only this essential life skill, but the power of practice and how we can do it more easily together...

I’m thrilled to have just interviewed my secret weapon for body work in this digital high stress era.

Ryan Burkholder and I meet weekly — on zoom — and do some profoundly impactful work on my connection to my body… staying vital, well rested and able to fully show up for my clients day in and day out…

The Importance of “getting CENTERED”…

The biggest theme that comes up for us both is working with emotional turbulence —from handling people’s intense emotions — and physical issues — often coming from doing virtual work.

Here is a one minute teaser of how I lost and regained my center recently…

And if that ain’t enough, Ryan has a great example of losing his sh*t and then showing up in ways he is proud of here…

Don’t be fooled, it’ all about the PRACTICE…

The skill is key.

The guidance vital.

And choosing to use the skill in hard moments — powerful.

But, if you listened to our episode above, you may have noticed that most of the props we give is to the ongoing practice.

Because we don’t need to eat or brush our teeth once and never again… we need to practice every day…

And life gives us ample opportunities for us to lose our center — all teh time in my experience!

If you want to make the practice easier (and cheaper than hiring Ryan 1-1 like I do)…

Check out the CENTERED COLLECTIVE here.

I will be there as a humbled student on Tuesday and Thursday mornings.

CENTERED COLLECTIVE

PS ~ I get no kick backs for this shout out. I really believe in the power of Ryan’s work because it has deepened my connection to my body (mind/heart/soul) and taken my own practices — honed from 20+ years of martial arts to the next level.
